Members of the Frisco ISD Board of Trustees traveled to Austin to meet with North Texas legislators representing portions of the Frisco Independent School District as the 85th Texas Legislature ramped up. The trustees had individual meetings with State Representatives Justin Holland (R-Rockwall), Matt Shaheen (R-Plano) and Pat Fallon (R-Frisco) as well as staffers from the offices of both Senators Van Taylor (R-Plano) and Jane Nelson (R-Flower Mound).
The Frisco ISD Board crafts and adopts its unified legislative priorities in advance of the legislative session and uses the time in Austin to bring these items of importance to legislators. More on the 2017 Frisco ISD Legislative Priorities can be found here.
